Six Apart Acquires SplashBlog

Treo650 Great to see Six Apart add new functionality to go along with their outstanding Typepad service.  I was reading that they just acquired SplashBlog.  What is SplashBlog you ask?  Good question.

SplashBlog lets you instantly publish photos from your smartphone to an online photo album (photoblog) to share with others. SplashBlog includes everything you need to share your photos, including software for your smartphone and a free online photoblog account at splashblog.com. Just install the FREE software on your smartphone, create your free splashblog.com account and start photoblogging!

I'm assuming that Six Apart will integrate the SplashBlog functionality to work within Typepad.  This is much needed I feel.  There is a way to post via a wireless device to Typepad currently (you send an email to a special address you set up) but I have found it to be lacking.  Having a little app running on my Treo that will facilitate this is excellent.  Now if they could just have it so I can create a podcast from my phone without suffering from incredibly poor audio quality, then I'd be all set.
