This new computing device is a cross between a tablet, a pda and full blow PC from what I can tell.
Its described as follows:
this pen-operated, wireless-enabled Windows XP machine will be pitched at mobile media consumersand it seems to have the following specs:
world's smallest full-function Windows PC.
- unit measures 16.7 x 10.8 x 2.6cm and weighs just 550g
- most of the machine's face is taken up by an 800 x 600 transflective colour LCD.
- the display can also operate at up to 1600 x 1200
- can be viewed in landscape or portrait mode
- 1GHz Ultra-low Voltage Pentium M and Intel's i855GM integrated chipset
- has an 802.11g Wi-Fi adaptor built in
- has a 20GB hard drive and 512MB of memory
- there's a USB 2.0 port, and CompactFlash and MemoryStick Pro ports for expansion
At first glance, this ranks high on mip's "gotta-have-it" gadget radar, but I must admit that I'm wary on the usefulness of XP Pro on such a small screen. It strikes me that this will be primarily for listening to MP3s and watching portal video.
